Meetings and Events

The IAEA Nuclear Data Section organizes Technical and Consultancy Meetings, Research Coordination Meetings and training workshops.
  • Technical Meetings (TM) are events to (i) facilitate the exchange of scientific and technical information among experts on new developments in experimental and theoretical nuclear physics relevant to nuclear technologies and applications, (ii) review specific areas of nuclear applications and provide guidance on emerging nuclear data needs, (iii) build consensus and endorse recommendations for future activities aimed at addressing emerging needs in nuclear technologies and data.
  • Consultancy Meetings (CM) are events gathering experts in their individual capacity to provide specialized advice on particular aspects of the Nuclear Data Section's activities.
  • Research Coordination Meetings (RCMs) are events convened to define the work programme, review progress, outline future plans and prepare reports of Coordinated Research Projects (CRPs). Typically, three RCMs are held during the lifecycle of a CRP.
